How To Be Attractive

You might be ugly, or you might be born with incredible bone structure. But there is one factor that can turn any man into a gentleman.

I’m talking personal grooming and hygiene. Dressing well is important. Dressing well can get you compliments from the ladies. But think of it from a marketing point of view. You have caught your customer’s(woman’s) eye with something they want. They will look into the product(you) a little further. In this situation they may come closer to give you a compliment. You want to seal the deal. How do you do that? By being the entire package. If they come up to you and you smell less than great, or your hair is out of control, you may turn that girl away from what you have to offer. You wouldn’t by a new car with a smelly and torn up interior would you?

We can’t fix your genetics. Maybe you don’t look like Channing Tatum. However, we can fix your appearance in a dramatic way to make you much more appealing. Even Channing would be unappealing to the ladies if his grooming wasn’t on point.

The Essentials:

Shower every day. By the beard of Zeus please shower every day. This is where we start. If you can’t learn to do this than there is no hope for you.

Your finger-nails and toe-nails should be trimmed and free from dirt. They SHOULD NOT be bitten and looking like Frodo’s finger nails from Lord of the Rings. You are not a hobbit, you’re a man. His are particularly unsightly.

Deodorant should be used every day. Apply more than once during the day if you have a more serious body odor problem.

Your Hair:

This one is easy. Keep up with getting your cut. If it gets out of hand, go in and have a trim. How can you tell it’s getting out of hand? Look in the mirror. Do you look terrible? Get your cut. Pick a hairstyle that you love, and that works for you. STYLE your hair. It’s okay. You can do it. I believe in you. If you want to know what the current hairstyle trends are, check out my recent post Men’s Hairstyle Trends Fall 2013:

Have long hair? Greasy hair is more noticeable when you have long hair. So, if you have that problem please take care of that(showering daily, not using conditioner as much). If you are wearing it down make sure it’s brushed and looks nice. Throwing it into a warrior’s knot looks great too. And remember, no matter what anyone tells you, it’s not a bun. It’s a warrior’s knot.

Your Face:

Wash your face twice a day. Wash when you wake up and before you go to bed. If you have dry skin please use a face lotion. Women aren’t attracted to lizards, so moisturize yourself.

Keep your facial hair under control. Keep up with maintaining it. This includes trimming. Don’t let it go too far down on your neck. If you want facial hair, make sure you can actually grow facial hair. It’s easy to tell if you don’t look good with facial hair. Use the “looking in the mirror” technique I stated above. If it’s too patchy it doesn’t look good.

Trim your eyebrows. Yes, trim them. Girls aren’t the only ones who practice this technique. No you should not trim them like a woman does. Get a pair of tweezers and start plucking from the bottom. NEVER trim from the top. Just getting the excess hairs that are not in your actual eyebrow area should be fine. These areas include your eyelids, side of your face, and forehead.

These should be CLEAN looking. Your shirt should be free from wrinkles. They shouldn’t be dated. If you read this blog that shouldn’t be a problem.. Because readers of this blog dress very well.

You look amazing! Now go out there and close the deal champ.

As always,

-Stay Fashionably Manly
