Everyone needs somewhere to start. We are going to go over some basic fashion staples to be implemented into your closet.
Get used to these. These can change an ordinary outfit into an incredible outfit. They come in a huge variety of styles and colors. Wingtips and monk straps are pretty popular right now. I Wear oxfords six out of seven days a week. Please don’t go wearing your oxfords to the gym. But they look amazing with rolled up jeans, rolled up chinos, or a pair of slacks.
2. Woven Button-ups
Button-ups are so diverse and can be worn many different ways. Don’t be afraid to wear a pattern. Polk-a-dots, floral prints, and random objects on your button-ups are popular right now. In my closet you will find polk-a-dots, floral, and bicycle prints. Button it up all the way for the disappearing tie effect, or leave the top loose for a relaxed feel.
3. Skinny Jeans
Why haven’t you jumped on this train yet? It’s time. It’s not weird, and you will still look like a man. Roll up your skinny jeans with a pair of your new oxfords or boat shoes. These keep your look looking tailored. Get on it.
4. The Sport Coat
Take your regular every day outfit, and add a sport coat. Now take a look in the mirror. Ya, you like what you see, and everyone else will too. I think a sport coat dramatically changes one’s appearance. The sport coat was the first item I wore that got me into fashion.
Your watch defines you, and it becomes a part of you. Popular styles are retro cloth straps, leather straps, and two-tones. I personally wear a very large faced gold watch. It’s the Vestal ZR-3. I get more compliments on that watch than I can count, however not everyone can pull that watch off. Figure out what works best for you and your style. Also, get something you can wear with every outfit. Unless you have the funds to purchase a collection of watches.
